Ilsa is a hardworking teen who has a heart of gold. Her empathy for others has often left her exposed to bullying. She is the president of her local LEOs Club and is active in her community. Her participation in both Lincoln Douglas and Congressional debates has taught her poise, quick thinking, and public speaking. She is eager to get Heart Strings out to the world!

She often felt that some teachers and friends didn’t take her seriously and would shrug off the incident. In 6th Grade, Ilsa had a teacher who was instrumental in helping her learn communication and coping techniques when faced with confrontation. She said, “I wish there were a way to tell who is helpful...like a bracelet or something.”
